It takes more than love to raise a calm, sociable and family-friendly dog!
The goal at K9 Obedience Phuket is to help dog owners understand their dogs better (based on breed and experience among other factors), and help you see why your dog intuitively does certain behaviours. Only once you understand the cause of your dog's peculiar behaviours, can you hope to train those undesirable behaivours out of them.

At K9 Obedience Phuket, a dog is only considered trained in basic obedience if it can reliably offer up the obedience commands at one verbal instruction in any given scenario. To get to that stage, we use a repetition-based training model to ensure there is no confusion in the dog's mind as to what is being asked of it.
​
Our goal is to go beyond training your dog to also training you on how to maintain the dog's training. The training is as sustainable as your involvement in maintaining it. If you are consistent with providing feedback for your dog's behaviours, you will open up a communication channel allowing the two of you to build a strong bond of trust, leadership, love and safety.

I got my first golden retriever (Cooper) a couple years ago, and he is exactly the active and enthusiastic dog I've always wanted, but for the rest of my family, his energy can sometimes feel overwhelming.

I started training him so everyone at home could bond with him, and that has changed our lives.
Now that I've started my own journey as a dog trainer, under the guidance of a brilliant mentor, Patrick at K9 Bangkok, I hope to help other dog owners bond with their dogs in a way that's respectful to both dog and owner, so you can enjoy one another's company without either of you feeling frustrated, overwhelmed or unsafe.
